The expedition
The first half year of 2019 I have visited first Hallingelille ecovillage in Denmark (http://hallingelille.dk/) and travelled along five other ecovillages in Denmark, followed by a one month visit to Suderbyn ecovillage in Sweden (http://www.suderbyn.se/) and a short stay in Charlottendal ecovillage close to Stockholm (http://charlottendal.se/).
After that I travelled through Lithuania visiting some permaculture projects, going to Estonia where I stayed for over a month at small footprint ecovillage (https://www.facebook.com/vaikejalajalg/) and travelled also to Lilleoru (https://www.lilleoru.ee/).
Next I travelled north to Finland to stay at Majvik biodynamic farm, Vaunamaki community (https://m.facebook.com/pg/vaunumaki/community/), Solbacka (http://solbackaexperience.com/) and Katajamaki ecovillage (https://ecovillage.org/project/katajamaki/).
In July you could find me in Bagnaia community in Italy ( https://ecovillaggi.it/rive/ecovillaggi/4-bagnaia.html ) for the Global Ecovillage Network Conference Europe (https://geneu2019.it/en/).
After this I travelled to Slovenia to visit Sunny Hill project in the hills of Istria (https://sunnyhills-istria.eu/). In late August I travelled to Spain and spend time in Arterra and Lakabe communities and helped with the start of a new community close to Alcaniz.
I am currently back in the Netherlands waiting for travelling to be possible again. I work as a sustainability policy adisor on the realisation of the Dutch Climate Agreement.
